Industrial era 4.0: Soft skills and Personality Development philosophies and practices at 1.0

The term Industry 4.0 was introduced at the Hannover Messe (Hannover Fair) in Germany in 2011. Since then, the fourth Industrial revolution of industry 4.0 is the subject of discussion, its significance on #softskills, #personalitydevelopment, and the gap between the intended learning outcomes in the education institutions and the needs in the #industry4.0

The major focus by majority of the educational institutions still with the practices and philosophies centred at 1.0; mainstream focus on theory based of "know what", or knowledge is creating conflicts in adeptness and sustainability in the contemporary era of machine learning or expectations of a workforce.

It is found that Education basic or higher is not progressing or evolving at the pace anticipated by the 4.0 world. The presence of diverse generations in leading educational systems and smaller systems in a classroom (with gaps unchecked, of this transition)the composition of instructional designs, to sustain in the most evolving of times, marking #softskills and #personalitydevelopment as a personal choice.

The WEF (The World Economic Forum)underlines that soft skills will become increasingly vital for the workforce and to equip students to succeed in the swiftly evolving digital economy (WEF, 2016) So how long can #freshers or children be blamed of their inadequacies? It is undoubted, #softskills training and personality development training is important to sustain this shift to the digital era, more than acquisition of formal knowledge. 1. Schools and higher education formalizing soft skills
2. Families focusing less on Report cards and more on soft skills, forecasting evolution in education and industries
3. Personal choice and self awareness a collaborative effort giving rise to a new citizenship.
